Photo #6

I really like the ceiling of the place where I live. Today I wanted to play around with the lines in the living room. I love the perpendicular lines of the wood paneling from the walls up to the ceiling as well as the bannister up on the second floor. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that we talked about in class today, but even though I don't completely understand everything about space, it's definitely made me think differently about how I look at the world around me.

  1. This is a pretty cool concept in regards to light. Every surface, when hit with the same quality of light, is the same color as the rest. Both natural and unnatural light sources determine the tones we will perceive.

  2. How am I just seeing this photo? This is one of my favorites of your collection. The lines, the colors, the depth cues... Everything going on in this photo is actually pretty simple, but the way in which you chose to photography this really creates a lot of life and energy. Cool beans.

  3. I somehow missed this one before! I love the sense of ambiguous space you get here, what with all of the converging lines and walls that run at different lengths. This might be a cool place to shoot something, plus it reminds me of the Great Northern.
