Photo #3

I felt that this was a good opportunity for a photo because of how strange it felt that these sea lions are free to do what they want, but they choose to lay down inside of a cage. I like the contrast between the multitude of sea lions basking in the cage versus the few who are actually swimming in the ocean. The colors also contrast between the dull brown and white of the cave and the green of the ocean.

  1. Whoaaaaa! This feels very "strange" indeed. You can use this as a photo to start some crazy "free the sea lions" propaganda.

  2. I love the lines here created by the cage and how it contrasts the fluid texture of the water. It works well into a freedom vs. captivity commentary. I also love the contrasting colors and how vivid they are.

  3. Holy cow, what a fantastic image! I love the sharp contrast in colors, and the fact that we can't see much detail in the water itself. It makes it feel more solid and glassy, providing an interesting counterbalance to the sea lions.
